Why Couples in the US Choose SHB Ketubahs

Distance doesn't diminish quality. Here's what makes working with us special, even from across the Atlantic.

Draft Before Printing

Your ketubah text — Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, egalitarian, or interfaith — is typeset into the design. You receive a digital proof and nothing prints until you and your rabbi approve it.

Seamless Across Time Zones

No awkward calls at odd hours. We work primarily over email and through your consultation form, responding within one business day — wherever you are from New York to LA.

Heirloom Quality

Printed on archival 350gsm watercolor paper at A2 size (16.5 × 23.4 inches) — a substantial, museum-quality piece that frames beautifully and lasts for generations.

Custom Ketubahs: Your Story, Your Design

A custom ketubah is entirely open-ended — your story, your symbols, your color palette, woven into a piece of art that exists nowhere else in the world.

Being in the US doesn't limit the process. We guide you remotely from first ideas to final artwork, with sketches and revisions shared digitally. You'll be just as involved as couples who live around the corner.

  • Incorporate meaningful symbols, places, or pets
  • Choose your color palette and artistic style
  • Multiple revisions until it's perfect

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything US couples ask us about ordering ketubahs.

Do you ship ketubahs to the United States?
Yes! We ship to all 50 US states. Shipping to the USA is currently free for all orders. Your ketubah is carefully packaged and sent via Royal Mail international tracked service.
Can I use my own ketubah text?
Absolutely. Whether you choose a print or commission a custom ketubah, we typeset your exact text — Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, egalitarian, or interfaith — and send you a digital draft for approval. Nothing prints until you and your rabbi are completely happy.
How long until my ketubah arrives in the USA?
Printed ketubahs ship within about 4 weeks of draft approval. Custom commissions typically take around 8 weeks from start to dispatch. Transit to US addresses is usually 1–2 weeks after dispatch, so plan accordingly for your wedding date.
Will I have to pay customs or import duties?
US Customs may assess import duties or taxes on international shipments. These fees, if any, are the recipient's responsibility and are not included in our prices. Most ketubahs fall below the de minimis threshold, but we recommend checking with US CBP if you need certainty.
What paper and size are your ketubahs?
All ketubahs are printed at A2 size (16.5 × 23.4 inches / 420 × 594mm) on archival 350gsm watercolor paper — a museum-quality weight that frames beautifully and lasts for generations.
What if my ketubah arrives damaged?
In the rare event of shipping damage, contact us immediately with photos. We will work with you to make it right, whether that means a replacement print or another solution.
